For more than a year, CreagerCole Communications has worked closely with our client, EqualityCard™, to introduce this unique credit card start-up to the LGBT movement and generate positive visibility for the company. EqualityCard™ revolutionizes fundraising for non-profits by allowing business and consumer cardholders to make tax-deductible donations equal to 1 percent of their purchases to the LGBT non-profit of their choice, with no out of pocket expense to the cardholders or the non-profits.
Since its official launch last February, EqualityCard™has added a considerable number of non-profit affiliates to its list of key partners. Non-profit

affiliates are able to add their profiles to EqualityCard’s™ non-profit donation portal, which allows EqualityCard™ members to browse and select non-profits that will be receiving 1 percent of the proceeds of all of their purchases. CreagerCole has worked as the company’s LGBT liaison, introducing the startup to many of the LGBT non-profits that have eventually become affiliates. CreagerCole’s deep ties to the LGBT movement have contributed to these key partnerships.
In addition, CreagerCole has generated a number of articles about the initiative, including this feature in My So Called Gay Life, and this coverage in dot429. Additionally, we have secured visibility for EqualityCard™ in Denver’s OutFront Magazine, at the Pink Banana Blog and at GayMonde.com, as well as placing a second article in My So Called Gay Life.
CreagerCole Communications also joined the EqualityCard™ team at the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force’s “Creating Change” Conference in Houston last January to boost awareness about this fundraising tool. We also represented EqualityCard™ at the GLBT Expo in New York City last March.
We are extremely proud to be working with EqualityCard™ Founder/CEO, Nick Lepetsos, and the entire EqualityCard™ team. We believe this endeavor has the potential to greatly increase giving in the LGBT non-profit world, and look forward to continuing our promotion efforts for years to come.
