Today we placed an op-ed in the New York Daily News for our client interACT: Advocates for Intersex Youth. The commentary by interACT Board Member I. W. Gregorio spotlights a recent Palm Center report by three former Surgeons General who conclude that surgeries should not be performed on intersex children who do not need them.
“I sincerely hope that the rest of the medical community will heed the recommendations of the surgeons general, remembering the oath they took at the beginning of medical school to do no harm.”
Congratulations to Dr. Gregorio on this important piece that elevates intersex human rights. We’re proud to promote interACT’s vital advocacy.
